Account & Login

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

On the login screen, tap "Forgot password?". Enter your registered email address and we will send you a reset link. Check your spam folder if the email does not arrive within a few minutes. The link expires after 60 minutes.

I did not receive a verification email after signing up.

Check your spam or junk folder. If it is not there, wait a few minutes and try resending from the app. If the problem persists, contact us with your email address and we will verify your account manually.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account in the app. This will permanently delete your account and all associated data within 30 days. Transaction records required by law are retained for seven years. This action is irreversible.

Can I change my email address?

Yes. Go to Settings → Account and tap the email field. You will receive a confirmation link at your new address before the change takes effect.

Subscription & Billing

What is included in the free tier?

All registered users receive 5 free AI queries per day at no charge. You can browse the full text of all laws and save bookmarks locally without any payment.

What do premium plans include?

Premium users get unlimited AI queries and bookmark synchronisation across all their devices. Plans are available as monthly subscriptions or one-off credit bundles. Current prices are displayed in the app at checkout.

How do I cancel my monthly subscription?

Go to Settings → Subscription in the app and tap "Cancel Plan". Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. No further charges will be made after cancellation.

I was charged but my premium access has not been activated.

Payments via M-Pesa can occasionally take 2–5 minutes to process. Pull down to refresh the subscription screen. If the issue persists after 10 minutes, email us at jurisaisupport@gweenscraft.co.ke with your registered email and the M-Pesa or Paystack transaction ID. We will activate your plan or issue a full refund within one business day.

Can I get a refund?

Fees are generally non-refundable once a plan has been activated and AI query credits consumed. However, if you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 7 days of the transaction and we will review your case. See our Terms of Service for the full refund policy.

Which payment methods are accepted?

We accept Visa and Mastercard (via Paystack) and Safaricom M-Pesa STK push. All prices are in Kenyan Shillings (KES).

AI Queries & Legal Content

Why does my daily query count not reset?

Free-tier queries reset at midnight East Africa Time (EAT, UTC+3) each day. If your count appears stuck, force-close and reopen the app to refresh your quota.

The AI gave an answer I think is incorrect. What should I do?

JurisAI provides legal information, not legal advice. AI answers are based on the legal texts sourced from Kenya Law (kenyalaw.org) and may not reflect the very latest amendments or court interpretations. For matters requiring professional opinion, consult a qualified advocate. If you believe there is a clear factual error in our legal content, please email us the specific article and the correction — we take accuracy seriously.

JurisAI currently covers:

  • Environmental Management and Co-ordination Act (EMCA)

  • Judicature Act (Cap 8)

  • Social Health Insurance Act (SHIA)

App & Technical Issues

The app is crashing or not loading content.

Try the following steps in order:

  • Force-close and reopen the app.
  • Check your internet connection (law browsing works offline but AI queries require connectivity).
  • Clear the app cache via your device settings.
  • Uninstall and reinstall the app (your data is stored in the cloud and will sync back on login).

If none of the above helps, email us with your device model, Android version, and a description of what happens — screenshots or screen recordings are welcome.

Is JurisAI available on iOS?

JurisAI is currently available on Android only. An iOS version is in development. Tap the "Coming Soon — iOS" button on our home page to be notified when it launches.

My bookmarks disappeared after reinstalling.

Free-tier bookmarks are saved locally on your device only. Reinstalling the app clears local storage. Premium users have their bookmarks backed up to the cloud and will see them restored after signing in. Upgrading to premium protects your bookmarks going forward.

Privacy & Data

How is my data protected?

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). We comply with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.

Do you sell my data?

No. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for marketing or any other purpose.

How do I request a copy or deletion of my data?

Email jurisaisupport@gweenscraft.co.ke with the subject line "Data Request" or "Data Deletion". We will respond within 21 days as required by the DPA 2019.
